Jeremiah’s Hope Baby Safe

Jeremiah’s Hope is a project of Life Link Pregnancy Crisis Centre.

Jeremiah’s Hope Baby Safe in Kempton Park is a ‘transition centre’ for babies who would otherwise have been abandoned on the streets, in the veld, in dustbins, pit toilets etc.  They have a Baby Safe where mothers can safely abandon their babies knowing that they will be taken care of and given a chance at life.

The Baby Safe is situated at 10 Du Plessis Ave, Kempton Park Ext 2 (Opposite Kreft Primary School).

While Life Link PCC provides alternatives to abortion, Jeremiah’s Hope provides positive alternatives to abandonment.

It is estimated that approximately 10 000 babies are abandoned in South Africa annually.  Of these only 2 500 are found. Many of the babies that are found, are found too late and have died.

Life Link want to provide these babies with a chance at life. Even though they are not wanted by their mothers, there are people who would willingly provide the child with a loving family.

They want to offer these children, hope and a future.
