In the midst of Covid 19 we have a lot of dark news that plague our timelines. August is South Africa’s National Women’s Month. GBV is another plague in South Africa that haunts society, so in light of it being Women’s Month it makes sense to celebrate the women in our community but to also GIVE BACK!
As part of the community movement #ComeInKemptonPark (which aims to have all local businesses commit to having an open door policy for ladies who need a safe place to escape & to avert immediate danger) #ComeIn is part of an online campaign called #iNdulgeCampaign by Spencer’s.
Spencer’s is a family owned business, with a close-knit team who run the niche gifting shop on 217 Monument Road. This team has a passion for supporting the community, and almost every product in their shop is South African! Viva Spencer’s Viva!
#ComeInTeam (Kerry-Ann Prinsloo & myself, Lizet Rosen) sat down with Chistine (head of Marketing & Sales), Geraldine (Manager) & Alice (Face of Spencer’s) – these ladies made us feel at home and the energy was fabulous.

iNdulge Campaign was conceptualized by the Spencer’s team. Together they hand picked gourmet, handcrafted & quality yummy items. The iNdulge Hamper is filled with glorious South African branded items: 2 Ma Mere Twisters, Ma Mere Popcorn, Nomu Hot Chocolate, Gourmet Fudge, Mandela Tea, Afrikoa Chocolate and finally either Darling Toffee or Ma Mere Chocolate covered nougat.

The intention behind this iNdulge hamper is to allow you to INDULGE – take your time, to savour the moment & spoil yourself. In the true spirit of community, Spencer’s are giving back. 15% will be donated to #ComeIn https://www.facebook.com/comeinagainstgbv/ who have chosen Tears Foundation https://www.tears.co.za/ as a beneficiary.
Honestly, in our “new normal” it is probably, that more important to support local! As Christine said: “Stronger when you stand together with those around you!”

Honored to be a part of this campaign!
Please support this campaign, if not for yourself, then why not spoil someone you love? Go to Spencer’s website: https://www.spencers.co.za/ or visit the shop on Monument Road, number 217.
To the women out there, know your worth. You are amazing!
“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”
